YEH, So There's That Too, Bitches!
Once again, ‘redneck’ Alberta defies stereotype by picking female premier.
“First, a word about our beloved redneck Alberta — you know, the province with a Muslim mayor of Calgary, a Jewish mayor of Edmonton, an Indo-Canadian leader of the Official Opposition and a young female leader of the right-wing Wildrose.
And, now, we have a female Progressive Conservative premier, Alison Redford.”

Yes, Alberta is a lot more diverse and up-to-the-moment than people in the rest of Canada give it credit for. But I hope Albertans' SELF-image is changing too, though. Too often we see ourselves as that white male redneck cowboy stereotype.
I loved Alberta when I lived there. I just hated the weather. I guess it is stereotyped. I'm not sure what the stereotype of B.C. is, unless it is pot-smoking cranks. Is that right?
I can't speak to you Belle. You are a pot-smoking BC Crank. Thanks for reminding me.
To the rest of Canada, Alberta is a right-wing cowboy nuthouse. To the U.S. it's just as pinko-commie, health-care-lovin'-socialist as the rest of Canada.
Perspective is everything.
