A-Z Blogging Challenge - 'P' Stands For Pavin, Barbara Pavin
Some people are born with such perfect genetics that they can't be anything other than one of the beautiful people. Take it up another notch and you have something very rare indeed - the perfect supermodel. We should be proud of Barbara Pavin and support her career showcasing her standard of female beauty. And then we need to film her fighting aliens in another galaxy in some sort of Barbarella style outfit. No reason she can't look stylish while bleeding members of some lizard army. It's the sacrifices one makes when one is pretty.
Last year on the challenge - 'P' stood for Power Girl.

Dude, she's 18!
And is she naked? No. Not her fault she was born looking this way.
what, Barbara Pavin is going to be Power Girl. I don't think she has the assets, if you know what I mean.
Wait, that was me looking at pictures and random words from the post putting themselves in a random order, sorry.
No, but she's just a kid! And she looks like a little kid, unlike a lot of fashion models, like, say, Paulina Porizkova who was on the cover of Sports Illustrated at 19, but who looked older (and had made the cover of Vogue already), and anyway I was 19 myself at the time. I'm just saying, don't you feel funny ogling a little girl? The issue isn't whether she's naked. I have the same issue with Selena Gomez (although at least she's 20). They look like children, and I know you're at least my age (I'm 45).
Never mind; to each his own. And if she's already doing Calvin Klein ads, I can hardly complain. Sorry, Cal. I'm not sure what specifically prompted that. You know I love ya, and your site!
No, it's okay Jordan. Maybe I am an old pervert. I don't care. I honestly just react to something I see without the filter I suppose I should apply to this blog more often than I do. It just so tedious to censor myself.
I appreciate you pointing this out to me. Many probably feel the same way you do. I guess I am pretty creepy.
P word - Priestess of Aphrodite?
I just realized that part of my reaction has to do with stuff I've been finding out recently about the so-called "Men's Movement" and how they're actually composed of people who are actively lobbying to change age-of-consent laws in the 50 states. I never used to even think about this stuff (the so-called "infantilization of women" issue) even though I read Susan Faludi's book back in the day, but something's made me more sensitive to the question recently, and this particular model is somehow very suggestive of these ideas; she just looks so young. Maybe the last episode of Mad Men was affecting my thinking too. Anyway sorry again Cal. You keep posting whatever unfiltered goodness strikes your fancy and I'll keep dropping by to admire it!
