I Am Pushing To Have North Carolina Declares Me Illegal By Their State Constitution

Isn't gay money as good as straight money? You would think that people would realize all the jobs created by the gay marriage industry. Those couples drink a lot of wine, buy expensive coffees and dine on salads. They have the disposable income to spend on everything from handguns to having the tailoring done on their Civil War re-enactment uniform (Johnny Reb of course). They also know how to throw one hell of a fun cupcake filled wedding reception. That has to be most of the industry that they have in North Carolina - am I right?

Honestly, I'm surprised at the resistance to gay marriage. I especially find it amusing when someone implies that allowing gays to marry will somehow denigrate the sanctity of the institution.

When straight couples can get married on a whim in Vegas by a preacher dressed as Elvis, I think the sanctity has pretty much moved on.

that is actually very clever. good job Cal.

Not my state, not my issue. Couldn't really care either way.

Besides, divorce rate in America is like 41% for the first marriage and 60% for the second...and so on.
So much for the sanctity of marriage. Marry a badger. If you're happy, it's ok with me.

If you want me to marry a badger you should at least introduce me to her first. I have the same policy with any raccoon related creatures I am to be betrothed to.

Colleen, my dear fiancee, just asked if you and I share one brain.( I'm counting that as a compliment BTW) I have been on about this off and on all day. My facebook page has had it's share of comments. Both good and bad, I invite the debate.

It was funny this morning to be waiting for my doctor and both his nurses were talking to me about my blog. I had to warn them that I was all worked up about North Carolina and the gays. One of them looked at me as if to say 'which side do you support' because I look like a intolerant asshole. She was happy when I said I would be bitching about the injustice of the whole situation. How can I not? I am an enlightened individual and I find it offensive when another person is not. It's one of the great failings of my character.

Finding it offensivve when another person is not enlightened isn't a failing! Its one of the most important strengths a human being can have! Keep on telling it like it is Cal!
