My Mother Feels Guilty Because Of Her Casino Winnings

I swear that woman uses that Casino as her only personal piggy bank. She always plays a game that has kitties and has a max bet of a quarter. That is about as low as you can go with one of these video lottery machines. She only takes a little to loose and always comes back with a couple hundred or so after several hours of entertainment. It's the strangest thing. It's like all the good she does in the world for me and everyone else she knows is being repaid to her by the Universe.

Today she asked me if I wanted to get on a 'fruit of the month' club because I do eat a lot of fruit. I suggest I would prefer a cigar of the month club and she told me to find one in Alberta - which I did.

After choosing a monthly package, I get four Cuban cigars a month (since they are legal in Canada) of very types and styles for the next six months. I always ask for a cigar for Christmas anyways so I guess she felt this was taking care of a gift she knows I would appreciate.

Each has a high rating on their site. I know little about a good cigar except that you always light them with wooden matches. I feel good about getting myself some cigar education. It's a very important thing for a sophisticated gentleman like myself to know. I may have to purchase myself a nice humidor but I think my package includes one and a cigar cutter. Sweet. This is this month's selection. Any opinion for those of you out there with such knowledge.

All I know about cigars is that they must be smoked outside the house for the best effect.

If your Mom feels guilty about her casino winnings, I'd be willing to ease her pain by taking them. No, no need to thank me.

I don't know that I could ever get into cigars. Not after watching "Cape Fear" anyway.

Did he burn somebody or did he just ruin the movie with the sweet smell of that Carribean smoke.

Robert DeNiro had been lighting up these huge cigars throughout the whole movie, and at the climax he starts to puff on one when he's about to kill Nick Nolte and his family, but the daughter had smuggled a bottle of lighter fluid and sprayed him in the face, lighting his whole face on fire!

Although there was a scene at the beginning where he was smoking a cigar in a movie theater just for the purpose of irritating everyone else in the room.
