Based on the celebrated comic book arc, The Wolverine finds Logan, the eternal warrior an outsider in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in a epic battle that will leave him forever changed!
From the great 80s Wolverine mini-series by Frank Miller and Chris Claremont (made at a time when Wolvie wasn't in every second Marvel comic book) this confrontation between Logan and the Silver Samurai is what I look most forward to seeing in the upcoming Wolverine movie.
This is not the trailer for the film but uses many of the character images to create a concept of what viewers can expect from the finished product. I hope for the same kind of slow-motion carnage that I enjoyed in the recent Judge Dredd movie.

That's one mini series I have still got to read.
I remember how great it was to have something to read about Wolverine where he wasn't with the X-men. They were just starting to develop his mythos at the point this series came out. I love the idea of the noble Samurai fighting against a hopeless cause.
Great poster at the end.
still have the TPB of that series from childhood- it made quite the impression on me
Frank Miller at the peak of his creative powers. From DareDevil, to Electra, to Wolverine, to Ronin, to Batman, the man could do no wrong. One of the best eras for comics... and you didn't need to take out a loan to buy them.
You said it brother. I would get 20 dollars every two weeks for comics and spent every penny and got a pile of books. I haven't felt excited about a comic in years. FF #1 by Mike Allred is a rare exception these days.
