This Would Make A Great HBO Series
In 1941, the U.S. began to form a hand-picked army to fight in Europe. What made it different is that its troops were composed of artists, designers, actors, meteorologists, and sound technicians, and their true mission was not to fight, but to deceive the German army. Their props were inflatable tanks and pyrotechnics; their tools camouflage, “spoof” radio plays, special effects, and sonic deception. Their last “disappearing act” was to vanish from history. Officially they were designated as the 23rd Headquarters Special Troops, the first and last battlefield deception outfit ever authorized by the U.S. Army.

Kind of reminds me of that "Argo" movie thats out now with a fake sci-fi film being used to rescue hostages.
Argo looks like a very cool movie. I am looking forward to it very much. Say what you want about that Ben Huflack, he's a hell of a director.
Yeah, he took a page out of Clooney's book when he started directing. Now if only he would take another page from Clooney and start publicly giving refunds for "Daredevil".
I liked THE TOWN very much and he directed that one. I also was one of the few that like Daredevil. I appreciated what they tried to do. Daredevil is ridiculously hard to get right as a comic book let alone a movie.
My Rare One and I went to see "Argo" last night and enjoyed it very much. It was fast paced and kept our attention, no small feat when you know in advance how it turns out. Ben Affleck is a better director than actor though. The man has only one expression.
I will give you that. No more GIGLI!!
Documentary "The Ghost Army" is coming to PBS in 2013!

I called it and PBS listened. How is THAT for the power of the Cave of Cool??
