First of all I woke up and mistakenly put on my 'skinny' jeans and THEY FIT...on the day I go see my doctor for my monthly weigh-in. That is a good sign but then I discover I am down NINE POUNDS which is nice to see because I do put in the effort to watch what I eat and exercise a little bit in the pool and on the yoga mat. This picture is my gift to myself for all my hard work. I might actually be a less husky boy one day.
Then I got this great Becca Wittiker original piece of my favorite
Monster High character, Abbey Bominable. I love Becca's combination of pin-up and cartoon. I now have four pieces I commissioned from her. I can see myself getting another one in the future.
This Selena Gomez/Demi Lovato piece was the first of Becca's work that I came across and I had to have it. Her style was so attractive to me and these two (my favorite Disney Girls) were not at all portrayed as caricatures of themselves.
Soon I needed a piece to show-off the interior of the Cave of Cool and was rewarded with this masterpiece. I love the little details that you can see just by clicking the image.
I also wanted something to gift my niece and nephew in Australia. After a few instructions I left the rest to Becca's imagination and as you can see I was not let down in the least. When my niece and nephew saw it they both wanted their own copy to hang in their room so I got them high quality photocopies to hang in their rooms while the original adorns their living room.

Way to go, Cal! You beat "the plateau" -- I told you patience would pay off. And yes, Becca does terrific work. She's very talented.
Her art is very cool!
very cool.
I'm having a busy day myself. Fortunately it was "productive busy", which is as close as it gets to "good" for me.
I'm very pleased to hear that your exercise has been rewarding. I really need to build a workout routine of my own.
I also agree that Becca's work is beautiful. Gotta find he and the internets and see if I can keep up with her work.
