This is the version of Captain America's shield that I have in my collection. It's made of metal and does have the straps but it's basically a painted garbage can lid. Not terrible for the price. I would love one of those movie masterpiece prop shields but they can run you up to 500 dollars. This one, as you can see, looks perfectly fine on display.

I know I should be aroused by a naked woman surrounded by such geekery, but I all I can think of is that stupid Captain America picture by Rob Liefeld and wonder "shouldn't her breasts be five times the size of her head?"
HIS breasts. Have you seen that picture. OMG.
I'm mentally merging the two pictures together to try and make the best of a bad thing.
