This week's topic is great garage sale finds. I modified that a bit to share some of the best deals I ever came across while on the illusive hunt for more great pieces for my collection.
I keep these three together because I acquired them all on the same day. At Value Village I got the Spider-Man pillow and huge Doctor Evil for nothing. I was so happy that I went to the bar for a couple of drinks and chicken wings and saw the Thor in the claw machine. Put in a Loonie and got him on the first pull. That was extra sweet. I have a lot of figures in boxes so it's nice to find these loose treasures which are not as common to see for sale in Canada as you would think.
Reboot was one of my favorite shows because of the chances it took with story and animation. It was also one of the first TV cartoons down completely on computer. For some reason it all worked and actually was part of my first education about computers and the theoretical worlds within. These figures sat in the dollar bin for I don't know how long when I found them at a tiny comic store outside of Calgary. Four dollars. I hugged them as I approached the counter.
In the early days of EBay you could really score some incredible deals as people resold figures they had bought at the large discount stores. Lots and sets were the best ways to add some depth to my collection. These ones were ridiculously cheap and came in a box with a couple of other figures and McDonald toys that I didn't order or expect. Those were glorious days in the life of my collection.

Love the spidey pillow!
Love your V V Boutique finds!
'Boutique' is a hilarious description. Value Village, your Halloween Headquarters.
Yeah, I was just there this morning, buying some new witch's hats to add to my growing collection. Don't ask.
My cauldron is sealed.
