Comic Pages Of The Day - Steranko

Another master of the comic book genre. He burned so bright for such a short time then he quickly faded away. He didn't die, he just stopped drawing comic books. Who knows what he could have produced if he had a larger body of work. But we have his best to study and appreciate forever and Steranko's best was better than 90% of all artists to ever put pen to paper.

He's a conspicuous hole in my comic book knowledge. Thanks for the post...it's gotten me interested in his work.

Did he only do Marvel stuff, or DC too?

Only worked for Marvel. Did mostly Nick Fury Agent of Shield. Wrote a book on the history of the comic book industry. Was the inspiration for Jack Kirby to create Mister Miracle since Steranko was a escape artist in his youth. Kinda a cool guy but his output is so little compared to his influence.
