Star Wars: Clone Wars
Emmy Award–winning animated television series set in the Star Wars galaxy. The series chronicles the Clone Wars, which are fought between the Galactic Republic under Chancellor Palpatine and the Confederacy of Independent Systems under Count Dooku. Clone Wars was intended to serve as a bridge between the films Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith—which begin and end the war respectively.
Produced by Cartoon Network Studios, the series originally aired from 2003 to 2005 and ran for 25 episodes. The commentary tracks of the series indicate that it was, at least in part, thought of as a commercial, which helped bolster the video games, books, comics, and other licensed products sold with the Clone Wars brand. The success of Star Wars: Clone Wars, which Star Wars creator George Lucas refers to as the "pilot series," led to a second Clone Wars series—the similarly titled Star Wars: The Clone Wars—which was produced by Lucasfilm Animation and debuted in 2008.
I really enjoyed the dynamic animation but was annoyed at the time that each episode was so short and you really had to do your research to find out when each 'chapter' would air. I really like seeing the entire production in one place like I have posted it here.
The same guy who did Samurai Jack also supervised the animation on this one. The characters move like Jedi are suppose to do. They are meant to be perfect, mystical knights and the Jedi in this production sure act with a confidence that insures that they win every battle. I love watching them dive and twist and spin around before using their light sabers to cut through dozens of robot soldiers.
We also get to meet many new Jedi like Kit Fisto, the Jedi who lives under the sea.
I am one who LOVED the recent Clone Wars TV show and I deeply lament it's loss. I know they cancelled Clone Wars to make way for a REBELS TV show about the rise of the Empire and the beginning a small but brave resistance. I know I would just DIE if Ahsoka Kano joined that show with her new travelling companion - Cade Bane - Who best to learn how to survive in a dangerous Universe than teaming up with the most dangerous bounty hunter in the galaxy?

Really enjoyed the first clone wars series too, genndy tartakovsky was leading the project and it did have a very samurai jack feel to it ( another great series)
I remember this series quite fondly. After being so disappointed by Attack of the Clones, this gave me some new hope for the franchise.
The motion, the editing, the set ups and the silent moments. Its so amazing!
I totally agree. It was a great idea to make it in small portions immediately. Each plays like a mini-movie or vignette on the characters. I love Obi Wan and the Troopers when they fight Durge on their mechanical steeds. Really pushing the whole Knights theme.
Little nod to akira with the bike slide, great scene. Love the fight between anakin and ventress too
