It's Thursday The 20th

 

Today I woke up to a storm of wet snow. This is the Winter That Never Ended. It's the last day of work for me but I am still anxious. The girls are hip deep in their proposal to the government and have no time or patience for my jibber jabber.

 

All of my great teaching abilities are being wasted because they can only be appreciated by very few students I have coming to my GED classes. I will no doubt have even less students today because we have a Math exam and the weather is crappy.

 

I can't help but blame myself that it took me a month or more to get my act together to the point where I could deliver a more individualized program of instruction to each person. Help the ones that come and catch up and stay caught up. I search the web for worksheets that challenge them on the very concepts that will help them excel on the test in the shortest time possible (I only have 120 hours to work my magic after all).

 

I guess I should consider one student passing all five tests to be a victory...but of course my brain just can't go there. Everyone of them that I worked with should have taken SOMETHING of value from my tutelage and carried that spark onto victory. (Yes, I have a very high opinion of my value on this planet)

 

Did I mention it snowed and I just lost a whole great image blizzard. I mean REALLY great. I managed to save some of the pictures from the delete file but GAH - it won't be the same. I got such a great set together and then it was gone.. The pressures on the creative individual are much greater than you can possibly understand. Everything I do at work or at home has something to do with me having to invent and react on the spot.
