Manic Pixie Nightmare Girl

When I was 13 I went to my first Cadet Camp for basic training. I arrived at camp with a full blown case of tosilitus and had to be hospitalized immediately. They kept me for three days and the only two books they gave me to read were about the Jonestown Massacre. No, wait, there was a third book but it was called the BROOD about a mother who gives birth to these little monsters who do revenge killings at her beck and call. Killer mutant toddlers really freak me out so I felt like I was in a nightmare far from home. I read all three while waiting to be released so I actually get the joke here in the video - as horrible as it is.

After I got better I begged my Mother to let me stay at camp. She did and I ended up staying an extra two weeks after Basic to take the two week photography course. Despite it's horrific beginnings, it turned out to be a pretty good summer.
