I actually bought whole comic books of this guy's work in the 90s. I have no excuse for my behavior. I just didn't know better. That is my only defence and I throw myself upon the mercy of the court.

man made me quit comics till a few years ago - dc reboot seems to have done it again
Good thing Canada doesn't have the death penalty any more.
Where is his waist?!!!
I donated a bunch of my old comics to the library this past weekend. Despite growing up in the 90s I think I only had one or two Liefeld books in the bunch, and that was because I was suckered in by the "#1 Collector's Issue" banner.
NEVER liked Cable.
NEVER liked Liefield.
NEVER liked how all comics now had to emulate that style.., it started with the Miller 'Dark Knight' stuff.
It made all '90s comics crappola.
Well, it's a good thing because it saved me a LOT of money. I instead spent it on Silver Age Kirby.
Don't feel bad, most of us fell for the Liefield LIE (note the first three letters of his surname) in the 90's. I myself bought a few issues of his work. But eventually, it became all too obvious that his depiction of the human form was utterly idiotic. Blech.
At least our taste evolved when his talent didn't. He's one of the few who has done worse work the longer he has been in the business. And he thinks he's a storyteller. Oy Vey.
I never had a problem with Liefield because he drew just like me, not very good. And I could relate to that. See the connection?
