Twisted - Justice League Gods And Monsters Chronicles

This new animated feature from DC is not your kid's superheroes. In fact this one got me to register a reaction on my shock meter. The animated style of Bruce Timm doesn't usually mix with the visceral nature of this short but there you have it. I was both giddy and sickened all at the same time. Is that a good thing? Taste is subjective. I am really interested in seeing this one when it's released at the end of the month. Looks fresh and edgy and that is what I need right now. The comic books from both of the majors have been sorry lacking as of late.

Above, you'll find the first installment of Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles, which will pave the way for a direct-to-video movie featuring the characters (prequels and origin stories will be covered in comics). This first installment mirrors the first episode of Timm's Batman: The Animated Series, in that the audience is given Kirk Langstrom's Man-Bat where they might otherwise expect to find Bruce Wayne's Batman. It does not mirror Batman: The Animated Series in that there's blood and dismembered bodies everywhere, and Harley calls her victim a bitch. Timm warned us that without the pressure from the usual board of censors for animated television, he'd be pushing the envelope, and "Twisted" shows it.

Missed the mark, Spice Car remark should have been in previous
post.
PS Watched the 4th Texas Rising (against my own better judgement),
Worst battle scene yet. One scene where the Mexican who was on
Houston's side fought the other Mexican (on Santana's side) with swords
and he runs him through......a 3 year old could have made it look more real. It was laughable.

I knew to let it go. There is time I can use to watch something better. Glad I made the right call.
