Let it go Amazon. Don't try to be like Game Of Thrones light. The Internet will destroy your effort and each and every mistake you make. It's a uphill climb. Stop It. Do something original. Like the Real Housewives of the Shire and the Real Housewives of Rivendale. In other worlds I don't care what happen outside of the story that know. LORD OF THE RINGS DOES NOT NEED TO BE IMPROVED UPON
What other classic do you think Amazon should produce instead of this one or do you disagree with me? My other idea would be SPACE 1999. Because I think I read that Netflix would be doing The Umbrella Academy with Ellen Page cast already as the White Violin.so you guys lost out on that one.
Page will play Vanya, the black sheep of her dysfunctional family. She’s the only one of Reginald Hargreeves’ adopted children with no supernatural abilities. A meek and insecure wallflower, Vanya struggles to find her place in the world.
Call me Amazon. I will give you such killer show ideas that deserve the 10 episode treatment. And I will take all my pay in Amazon bucks and free shipping so it's a WIN/WIN for everyone.

Why do they never just let well enough alone?
That would be ok, never got into the Umbrella Academy, but that is better than trying to add to the Lord of the Rings. Like trying to do the Silmarillion. Need a huge budget for that one.
I would recommend the first six issues of the Umbrella Academy. Totally fresh and original with lots of orphan kids who fought evil together as children - separated, grew up and now are back to fight one of their own and save the world from her powers.
Lot's of family resentments and the coming back together as a family and a team of heroes that their adopted father hoped they could be. Oh and he was an alien only posing as a human eccentric. There is also a talking monkey and a robot maid that raised the kids and insists she is their mother.
LOGAN'S FRIGGIN' RUN!!! (Including Logan's World and Logan's Search)
They could do WONDERS with this world. Three seasons already written based on each book, and they could easily add additional scenes for unexplored time slots (such as what happened between the end of book one and the beginning of book two). Anyone who has read them KNOWS what I'm talking about but I'm keeping it spoiler-free.
I could imagine one way they could improve upon TLOTR films... cut The Hobbit down from three movies into one 2 1/2 - 3 hour film!
