As long as he doesn't RUN in space like he runs in every movie he does, I don't hate this idea. He is getting too old to do the kind of stuntwork he could do as a younger man. Plus he needs to grab his piece of the superhero pie and this character is high enough profile that it would be worth Cruise's time. Marvel is all full up but DC has room for a global star. And after Edge Of Tomorrow I have hope that Cruise can handle the weight of the Green Lantern mythology. The article makes a pretty convincing arguement too.
