Retro-Cool

I have been thinking alot about music these days and going through my old ALBUMS and CASSETTES (Yes kids, that's what we had back in those days. And we played them on a device that required the tooth of a velociraptor to make the music go all soundy for us. Luckily we could find dinosaur teeth everywhere since we also rode them to school.)

One of the funnest things about my youth was going to the record section of any department store, even the small one we had on the base. Everytime I flipped through the albums the base store had (which were never organized by genre) I came across this one. It's 'Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here'. I didn't become a fan of the group until 'The Wall' made my head explode but this image is burned in my memory. It was like my mind was a tumblr even back then.

No one ever bought this album though or it was replaced by the huge pile that they kept of this one album in the back. For years this one and 'The Best of Bread (Who knew there was a group with the stupid name of 'Bread' and who knew they had a 'best of' album?) were a constant find. You would think such a album cover would draw at least SOMEONE to take a chance on those crazy Floyd kids.

That's one of my favorite Floyd albums.
