The Losers

Having read the entire comic book series and most reviews of the film, I thought the movie based on these characters would be something I would not enjoy. After all, it seems like the consensus was that the movie was 'A-Team light'.

But I needed a hot dog and the theatre makes the best hot dogs so I decided to include a movie with my lunch. I was glad I did.

The Losers are a group of military operatives who are betrayed and left for dead by the mysterious 'Max' Several months later they are contacted by a female agent who herself is wanted by most intelligence agencies but who hires the Losers to get 'Max' who she also has some problems with. Hell, even the audience wants to see Max dead.

What follows is a 'mission impossible' as the 6 of them try to get 'Max' who is more protected by the President. 'Max' also is trying to sell a 'snoop' device or sonic dematerializer - all destruction but no pollution.

I love watching a 'plan come together' and it's fun to see each team member play their part with a smile on their faces.

Sure the film is comic booky with a comic booky villain but for a Saturday afternoon with the best hot dogs in the city it was okay with me.

I caught this Saturday and hated it. A mess and a waste of a game cast. Some fun can be had with Jason Patric and Chris Evans but nobody else is given anything to do worth paying them to show up.

I enjoyed it, and wondered why it didn't do so well... D'OH!!
