Batman - City of Scars

MD sent me the link to this fan made Batman movie. It was made for only 27,000 dollars which would in no way make you think it could ever be as good as it is. When you know that the recent 'Dark Knight' movie cost over 185,000,000 dollars then you can only be more impressed with this effort.

With modern photographic and digital technology being what they are today, will we ever reach a point where movies like this can be made both cheaply and effectively and then reach a wider audience? Perhaps as parts of packages made available for viewing right on your TV.

I watch alot of those cheesy SCI/FY movies that are so much less skilled than this effort. I wish some network like HBO or SCI/FY or SHOWTIME would hire some of these creative people to make a nice set of these works of love (which is clearly what this is).

I have noticed how the quality of fan made films have risen sharply over the past five years. Having sites like 'You Tube' or 'Daily Motion' help alot. It's easy to find watch these films if you know they are out there.

But of course you can count on the douchebag corporations like Warner Brothers putting a stop to anything they can't control. They are notoriously jealous of sharing their properties with anyone.

I would argue that movies like this do not diminish your properties one bit. They enhance them. They keep them in the public eye and bring attention to your other formats such as video games and comic books. Surely someone with more knowledge about this industry has thought of this.

That last shot of the flick is an homage to Alex Ross "Batman: War on Crime".
I liked this fan made film...not bad.
