When I was very young my Baba gave me her old transistor radio to keep me company when I couldn't sleep late at night. I used to listen to baseball games or talk radio. These radios come from a time when products were made with style. If you had one of these in your pocket you would have been a big hit with all the girls. I understand that rock 'n roll music makes the ladies go crazy.

I remember when these were the "cool, must have" items for every teen and young person, like iPhones and stuff are today.
Likewise. We all had one. My folks bought me mine at the Woolworths downtown.
Wow. I was just thinking last week at one point, "I'd kinda like to have one of those little transistor radios again, like when I was a kid." Why? Hell, I dunno!
That was so nice of your Baba. I used to love those radios.
