Used to love this show! I even had a Halloween costume one year from either Ben Cooper or Collegeville based off it it.

Every Sunday morning as a kid it was on the CBC like clockwork.

I couldn't agree with you more on this one. I wouldn't mind seeing a new version of space precinct either.

Space Precinct - now there was a craptacular series that is best left forgotten.

If someone with the vision and intelligence of the producers of the BSG remake got hold of it, it might work. But then, season 2 of the original Space: 1999 was essentially a "reboot" of the show - trying to copy Star Trek and failing miserably. Perhaps it's best to leave well alone and ( shock! hooror! ) come up with an original idea...

Of course, I meant to say "horror!" but "hooror" looks kind of cool, too...

What an interesting concept.., to reimage this show. First off, the 1st season will always be my favorite show ever. Period.

How to reimage..? Would you set it back in 1999...? That would be an interesting twist for purists, despite the fact it was 13yrs ago. Hmmmm.

As long as they stayed true to the original theme and atmosphere Sylvia Anderson created. Yes it was much more her than Gerry. Sylvia woule NOT have allowed Fred Freiberger near it, she was a visionary.

No stupid wild fighter pilots or dysfunctional relationships, please.

If they did it in the vein of Stargate Universe then I approve. I loved that series but it only got a few seasons too. But worth trip.
