I would vote for the kitty to replace the thimble - come on, who wants to be the stupid thimble. I personally won't play Monopoly unless I can be the magic hat. I have always been the magic hat.

It's All About The Magic Hat
Hasbro announced it is holding an election to oust one of Monopoly's existing game pieces and replacing it with a new one. The existing pieces are: race car, iron, Scottie dog, wheelbarrow, shoe, top hat, thimble, battleship. The new candidates are: cat, helicopter, diamond ring, guitar, robot.

I think I vote for the robot or cat. I used to always play with the battleship.
It's fun to use Monopoly pieces in Clue..."It was Miss Scarlet, in the Kitchen, with a THIMBLE!" I mean, how would you kill someone with a thimble?!
very very slowly
The top hat is classy but I always loved to play as the Racecar given my unhealthy obsession with palindromes. Though I love Kelly's idea of mixing the Clue and Monopoly pieces together. I would play a board game like that!
How would that work? Those corporate bastards would be paying me to kill Professor Plum in jail with a candlestick?
Battleship? When did that one come about?
When my sisters, my brother, and I used to play our epic Monopoly games, one of my sisters was always the thimble. It stays. You can get rid of the crappy iron.
I want the robot.
Replace the "thimble" with the "robot'
The robot is pretty cool. I bet the person who uses the thimble all the time is the same person who collects all the one dollar bills as they are getting crushed by me and my magic hat.
The battleship was a piece in the set we played with 'cause my folks bought the set in the '50s when it was a regular piece. I think it went away after that sometime in the 60s but came back along with the cannon. Not sure about this though.
We got our first set in the seventies and it didn't have the battleship or the cannon.
I vote for the diamond ring cuz it's ritzy in a very Monopolish way. I've never seen the battleship or cannon before either. Yeah, screw the thimble.
