A year before Ghost Rider got his famous demonic biker revamp, Gary Friedrich created a hero on a flaming motorcycle called Hell-Rider.

I don’t claim to know all the ins and outs of this case, and I’m not saying this point exactly gives Gary a load of credit for originality, but to me, it’s a compellingly short line to draw.
