Characters That Pop Culture Should Not Be Finished With Yet - Ahsoka Tano

At the end of an emotional Season Five of The Clone Wars series we saw the final fate of Ahsoka Tano, who was the heart and soul of the series. It was her journey from Padawan to full fledged Jedi and her eventually destiny that anchored me to a series that was universally excellent over it's 6 and a half seasons worth of episodes. I urge any parent to start their kids on a habit of watching these episodes whenever they are looking for something exciting and cool to entertain the little ones. Most of the best ones are broken up into four episodes that can serve as their own animated feature films. They show taught lessons about loyalty and courage and believing in yourself. Not a bad thing for anyone to learn more about.

Ahsoka Tano was a Togruto Jedi Padawan, who was active during the Clone Wars. Her master was Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, whom Yoda had appointed her to. Nicknamed "Snips" by her master for her snippy attitude. She was reckless and impulsive, taking after her master's traits. However, she was still a skilled fighter for her age and position as a Padawan. She has a tendency to flaunt her skill and become overconfident in fights, to a point where she disregards the safety of others and even herself. She uses the uncommon Shien grip, or reverse grip in combat. Her skills allowed her to hold her ground temporarily against foes such as General Grievous, Asajj Ventress, and Cad Bane, though her carelessness nearly got her killed by the latter. At first, she informally addressed her master due to her personality; however, as time went on and she began respecting Anakin, she began calling him master more often. She grew close to her master, and even took on some of his traits and his beliefs as a result.

From the time she was first discovered by Master Plo she was destined to be a great Jedi.

She has the unfortunate distinction of being the last Padawan trained by Anakin Skywalker, who we all know became Darth Vader. She also had the honor of fighting and learning beside the great Obi Wan Kenobi whose pain over his own failures runs deep.

Of course, with her leaving the Jedi Order before the implementation of Order 66, she survived the slaughter of the Jedi and can hopefully be incorporated into the storyline of Episode 7 as an older, experience Jedi Master to aid in the training of the Solo Twins.

I have very few action figures from the Star Wars Universe in my collection. I always found them too small and lacking in detail. But with certain characters who they have made larger (6 plus inches in height) I would like to get some of my favorites like Luke, Obi Wan and R2D2 and I am looking to complete an Ahsoka set. She can't have that many different releases to scoop up.

And YES, that is a WOOKIE Jedi Youngling. So Cool.
