I Think I Caught A Cold From The Car's Air Conditioning System

I don't know why but every Spring I get one of these tough sinus colds - just like the one I am dealing with now. It starts the day after I first use the air conditioner to cool down a hot car. I have had little cause to use the cold air feature of my car until this point due to the late Spring we are having. But right on cue there was some virus out to get me once I dared to moderate my interior cabin temperature. Of course there could be no correlation between the two events.

Okay I did some research. The air conditioning cools the body and that reduces blood flow to your extremities like your nasal cavity and the white blood cells that live in that blood. Without white blood cells to fight viruses then any viruses in your body will suddenly have a fighting change to come to life. That is what happened to me.

Being out more this spring is exposing me to more viruses. The combination of the two is what I think has me down for the count right now.

Yeah, I'm coming down with a cold too but I can't blame car air conditioning. No, it was a co-worker who got me. Beyotch.

Another factor is just being subjected to what comes out of those vents in your car. Particles sitting in there all winter, all cozy and then blown right at you all of a sudden. It's already 90 F. here, but being raised in the desert, I haven't used the AC yet. Soon though.
