Warner Bros.’ Godzilla and Legendary’s King Kong will monster pummel each other in 2020. It’s not too early to start building that large monster shelter.
The first films in this monster partnership have already been announced: Kong: Skull Island, which opens March 10, 2017, and Godzilla 2 on June 8, 2018.
Legendary CEO Thomas Tull expressed his excitement about the 2020 battle in a statement. “As a lifelong fan of these characters, I’ve always wanted to see the ultimate showdown, and today we’re pleased to be announcing that and more.”
