Ah, yes I remember my elementary school years were everyone exchanged valentines with everyone. I didn't understand it then and it still doesn't make much sense now. I can understand the school system doesn't want any of the kids to feel left out, but if its just something for everyone to check the box on without any real passion behind it, than why bother at all?

I doubt that opinion is going to fly with either marketing or the school board, but if an 8 year old can publish his opinion, than I want to get on board that train too.

Valentine's Day in elementary school was the worst. Those lame boxes of 30 valentines that you had to give to everyone. The 'Simpsons' had it so right with 'I chew chew choose you' (and look there is a picture of a train).

Jr High and High School was worse though. You had to PAY to get your computer love matches or charm girls to get their 'hearts' or vice versa. What a nightmare.

At least the chocolate covered cherries are cheap cheap cheap (and look, there is a picture of a canary) the next day.
