My Heart Is Just Breaking

I don't know much longer I can deal with the loss of Admiral Fluffy or what will become of me if he doesn't come home soon. My heart is breaking in a thousand pieces right now. There is no creature on this planet next to my mother that means more to me than this cat. It's at times like these that I wish I even had ONE friend to commisserate with.

Can you leave something out that he likes? Like food or something? Sorry he's missing. Hope he comes home soon.

Thoughts are with you, Kal. Hope he's just out cavorting and returns to you soon!

I´m very sorry for the Admiral. I hope he comes back soon, after all some of my cats have been missing for almost a week and they just return hungry but not damaged.

It's not an indication that he is home. He will never be home again.

He found he coud do much better than hitching his waggon to my loser star. I actually am feeling stoke or massive breakdown coming soon. When all the hope fades from view I think we can pretty much call an end to this stupid blog fail business. I just won't be around to keep this crap being anymore and frankly the world will be a better place for it.

Her Royal Highness and I are praying to the Cat Goddess Bast to bring Admiral Fluffy home again safe and sound. I wish we could do more.

I am so sorry to hear that, Kal. I hope your kitty comes home soon.

Don't give up hope yet. Good things do happen. This one will. Don't like to hear that kind of talk. It's not warranted, believe me. Take it from someone who's dealt with a lot of bad sh*T. Besides, you're blog is most assuredly not a fail. The Admiral is just overdue a bit. Good gris gris your way.

Also, when the Admiral returns, what's the chances of making him an indoor Admiral?
Dry-docked, so to speak.

I know exactly how you feel Cal. Hang on to hope. Sending positive vibes to you and Admiral Fluffy.

I've joined this a bit late. Our beloved cat "Gordon" decided to disappear for a few days this week and just as we started to give up hope he strutted in without a word. I swear the look on his face was - "what's all the fuss about?"

Sorry to hear about your loss Kal, but dont underestimate the cat... Chances are he will be back and he will be pissed at you for letting him get lost and miss those meals. (hey, he's a cat, you dont expect him to take the blame do you?)

My heart goes out to you, Kal.

You'll weather this storm no matter what.

He's still not home? Oh no. I'm so sorry. I hope he will arrive back on your doorstep soon.

A friend 'lost' her precious kitten the other month for over a week and it turned up eventually, accidentally locked in a neighbours garage. Have you tried the door to door approach, putting up posters in the neighbourhood etc?

*Hugs* A swift return of your friend, using all my good vibes for this to happen Amigo.
You're not alone, you have all of us.

oh Calvin, I'm so sorry your kitty is missing. My black cat once went missing for 3 weeks in the summer and I thought for sure he got eaten or something but he did come finally come home. I know how you feel, I was practically in tears just thinking of losing him. He also went missing another time for 10 days in the dead of winter and I know he got locked/trapped in somewhere cuz he came home smelling like motor oil. I will say a prayer to bring Admiral Fluffy home soon.

Hang in there, guy. I have to believe he's somewhere being taken care of.

Kal said...

Thanks everyone. I still believe in him and all the experience he has being outdoors in the summer. I know how much joy it gave him all these years to do his prowl in the night and I would never take that away from him. I hope I get to spend more hours with him. He is a good cat. If I don't then I will be thankful I had 14+ years of his antics in my life.

we're keeping our fingers crossed for Admiral to come home as soon as possible, I'm sure he's just somewhere having helluva fun with other feline friends of his.

Hope he comes back Cal and have you been checking in with the animal shelters and such? Maybe he was picked up.

Wings1295 said...

That is totally the right attitude to take, Cal. Let him be free, as they say, and be excited if he comes back. And remember all the good times if he does not. And, if that is the case, I am sure there is a Private Kitty at the shelter just eager to be the next feline in the Cave of Cool!

Been away this weekend and just got back. Really sorry to see that the Admiral is still AWOL. I do hope he returns soon. I understand how upsetting it is to lose a close pet, having been through this many times in my life - they are really like a little person to us.

Please hang in there and don't despair.

Keep us posted Cal. I remember when my cat ran away. He was gone for three days. That was a tough one.

we had a cat that was gone for a month and a half at one point, in the winter. When she came back, she had lost weight and was dirty but acted like she hadn't been gone at all.

I still have hope but it gets less and less everyday.

Oh honey. Many, many hugs. And hopes.
