Yeh But How Many Cup Holders Does It Have?

Record Breaking Polar Vehicle

In December 2011, the Polar Expedition Vehicle by Ian Nisbett Design will attempt to smash the Guinness World Record for the fastest Antarctic land crossing- exactly 100 years since the previous record holder’s accomplishment. The PEV also represents a new era in faster, more flexible polar exploration. The bio-fueled vehicle uses half the fuel of similar vehicles and also uses solar panels to further reduce its carbon footprint. Hit the jump to watch this bad boy in action!

Aside from aiming to break the world record of 2 days, 21 hours, and 21 minutes, the PEV is also pushing the limits of technology, and incorporates the latest in real-time GPS satellite communication and navigation, as well as cutting edge survival gear, research materials, and scientific equipment.

It will be the coolest looking vehicle stuck in the ice barely halfway to the pole.

Now this is why I might not choose you to be in the co-driver seat on this expedition. That is that LAST thing I would want to hear while broken down halfway to the pole. I would just toss your body to the storm.

Oh and thanks for never changing. Kept being the cynic you are. Even on a fictional voyage you could only see the downside.
