Nice post. It's crazy how that first comic leaves an impression. I posted about mine a while back http://warlockshomebrew.blogspot.com/2011/06/my-first-comics.html

How many ways can Robin die? I dunno, why don't we ask Grant Morrison?

My first comic was Fantastic Four (vol 1) #5, first appearance of Dr. Doom and his NUCLEAR POWERED FLYING HARNESS! Also, The Thing traveled back in time, dressed as a pirate and was mistaken for Blackbeard.

That FF is a classic. Good place to start.

My first Batman/DC Comics comic was a Batman issue# 450.. Had a pretty cool cover with Joker sitting in the shadows, with a cigarette smoking in an ash tray on the table in front of him and papers saying things like "Joker Murders Unfunny."
