Tuesdays From The Toy Box - King He-Man

King He-Man (MOTUC; Mattel; 2013)

King He-Man is apparently what happens when Prince Adam gets old and decides to dispense with pretenses. The figure comes with a rusty version of the 200X power sword!

If ever a series was due a great modern reinterpretation, it's Masters of the Universe. Combined with what they can do with animation on TV these days, it seems a no brainer. I wish I would have gotten in on the Matty Collectible Club for these figures. I like their colorful design that are faithful to the original characters but updates their look with better bodies and accessories. The packaging of these is also nice to look at. How a figure displays on the wall or shelf is equally important to their overall value to me. I am slowly adding characters from this line to my collection when I can but these are very pricey on the secondary market. Maybe Target will carry more of these toys. Having a Toys R Us and Target in the same mall just might be my collecting dream even though I see way too many 3 3/4 figures on those shelves.

This figure is growing on me, but I think what would make me fall in love with him even more is if they make a Queen Teela. I would just love that.

I really hope you are able to get as many figures as you can! As of right now there has certainly been a crazy increase on the secondary market.

Why did He-Man need a secret identity, anyway?

So you could buy twice as many toys.

The fun for me will be to search out these where I can get them for the lowest price. No way I will pay the secondary market demands. It will mean more if I screw them by getting the toy, mint in box, without their predatory help.
