Cool 007 Spy Guns From Hake's

 

I missed out on an item I bid on because someone went insanely over his budget and it wasn't me. Hated to let that lot go but sometimes that is the way the Auction Gods work. So I looked around Hakes for more insanely priced but beautiful collectibles. I always thought that briefcase was slick.

Multiple Toymakers. c.1965. 13x19.5x2" deep box contains vinyl shoulder holster and 8" long plastic cap-firing, missile-launching gun and separate 3" long "palm" gun which also shoots cap. Holster has some wear on gold logo and missing thin generic vinyl body strap. Gun could be used to shoot missile or message missile. Includes cardboard punchout disk from box lid that has instructions printed on it. Scarce and Exc. Strips of tape that held gun/missile into insert have left tan marks on insert but otherwise box is essentially VF with Exc contents as issued.

14x22x2” deep display box contains set manufactured by Multiple Toy Makers ©1965 Glidrose Productions Limited/Danjaq, S.A. Set is composed of “The Complete Arsenal”: rifle barrel, silencer, rifle stock, bullets, pistol, “Super” scope and calling cards. Set could be used as “Pistol Only, Automated Pistol With Scope, Shoulder Stock Automated Pistol, ‘Secret 7’ Rifle.” As stated on box “Fires Harmless Bullets Automatically. Assembles In Seconds.” Has image of James Bond with gun in hand and a smaller image of Bond with assembled rifle. Set is still in original shrinkwrap and has some warp due to tightness of shrinkwrap but contents are Mint as packaged. One split on shrinkwrap front at stock, otherwise solid. Exc. Rare.

Set includes 12 orange plastic bullets (still sealed in original factory bag as issued), "007" knife, 8" long "JB 007" pistol, separate rifle barrel to attach to pistol, "007" gold scope, plastic silencer, "007 Code-O-Matic" code/decoding machine complete w/original small tablet, "Secret Agent 007 Confidential Code Book" which contains original pencil/notepad, adjustable rifle stock, "007" billfold w/six "James Bond - Universal Import & Export Ltd." business cards, "International Passport" which is unused and 20 bills of play money, original folded instruction booklet and styrofoam insert w/lt. aging/wear. Missing only breech cover sight piece and tiny "007" sticker from outside of case. All paper pieces come in original bag as issued and original interior paper packaging included. Exploding booby traps on attache case and code book work. Attache and gun shoot bullets. Light wear to metal parts but kit appears unused and is o/w Exc. Not usually found this nice.
