League Of Extraordinary Bloggers Weekly Post Assignment

Everyone this week will probably show off what they can make with all their modern Lego pieces. When I was a child you all know we only had square and rectangle Lego pieces to work with so our creativity was worked overtime just to make something that looked like a car, or a plane or a house. If I had a clear window and door that opened I would have been overjoyed as a child. So while I admire the cool things I have seen other league members make, I secretly am jealous of all the great design pieces they have in their tubs of Lego pieces to work with.

This is a sculpture I did in Elementary school. I called him the Puka Man. He lived on the beach and during the day he sold Puka shell necklaces to the tourists but at night he fought the good fight against the evil creatures rising from the ocean to destroy his beach.

Check out what many other League members have created this week.

I knew that looking at this statue meant that I had to further create a look for the Magnificent Puka Man. Hero Machine is the site for those of us who can't draw. It's all cut and paste and color. It was a huge resource I used when I taught writing or creative writing. They were able to make up and color their own characters. I tried to make one and save one of the Puka Man but it won't let me show it to you. I even saved the AltPrtsrn fix but NOTHING. After a CT Scan this was my morning. The metal shot in my head may have messed up the scan. Maybe they were moving. Trying to get out of where they are embedded in my skull.

Aloha, Puka Man! I remember when puka shell necklaces were all the rage.

What,they still aren't the rage?

This assignment is actually rather challenging since my blog is all about things I make.

So switch mediums to one we would not expect from you....grasshopper.

I would be good for other artists to give me their interpretation of the Puka Man. I need to find some website that makes that easy. I used to know a really good superhero design site I used all the time when teaching LA.

Stupid Hero Machine. Won't let me save my creation as a jpeg so I can give some life to the Puka Man.

If you go to the HeroMachine and put in my code you can see THE PUKA MAN.
