Has anyone ever heard of this show? I will let you know what it's like. It did win for best situation comedy one year so that has to be good, right? Now before you judge, remember that my mother has a near holy reverence and encyclopedic knowledge of Married With Children and thinks Al Bundy is the funniest person to have ever lived. She really goes for that low brow stuff. I know. I don't get it either sometimes but it's one of those great quirks that all people have. Things they like that you would never expect them to. My mother is very classy, until you show her National Lampoon's Senior Trip and she pees herself laughing. No lie.
Series about an Irish matriarch, whose favourite pastime is meddling in the lives of her children.

I love Mrs Brown.
I am hoping to be pleasantly surprised.
When Mrs. Brown's Boys first came out I thought it was a lame throwback to 1970's British sitcoms, all farcical situations and stereotypes...
OK, I was wrong. It's actually very funny, very warm and quite wise in a casual sort of way. In one episode Mrs. Brown defends one of "her" sons homosexuality in a very unexpected but moving way. Not something you expect from a comedy like this. Plus there's loads of creative swearing... :-)
I've seen a clip or two around the internet. All I know is that Mrs. Brown is a guy in drag. Sort of a less sparkly Dame Edna.
She wants to see it.
Not really my cup of tea but it is very popular over here.
