This story by Mark Millar is one of the most interesting Superman stories of all time as are the familiar charcters changed by the new world created by a different Superman. The hero we know is now a hero of the Soviet Union and the Russian Batman is wanted by the authorities and an enemy of the state. But he has some surprises in store for Comrade Superman. And that's just a small part of a truly epic tale that satisfies when you get to the end even if you know little about the characters.

I hope the animation does it justice.
Me too. It's a really great story with a fantastic ending and the hero is not who you would think. A great superhero story with a fresh spin on old characters.
