Temple Of The Dog Lyrics

"Well, I don't mind stealin' bread
From the mouths of decadence -
But I can't feed on the powerless
When my cup's already over-filled...."

Coolness untainted, but this was "Hunger Strike" by Temple of the Dog which did include Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam on lead vocals and Chris Cornell from Soundgarden as well as a couple members of Mother Love Bone.

Great song.

Correction: Chris Cornell was the lead singer for Temple Of The Dog (before he founded Soundgarden) and Eddie Vedder was a featured guest lead vocalist for "Hunger Strike" as well as providing background vocals on a couple of other tracks. Vedder was not actually a member of Temple Of The Dog. Still one of the best albums of the "grunge" era, though.

So who gets the credit?

Has this become a grunge match? hehe

Soundgarden formed officially in '84, with Cornell conceiving Temple in '90 as a tribute to a friend who OD'd. Cornell wrote "Hunger Strike."

I can't really find anything that says Vedder wasn't a member, but you're right in saying his role was primarily backup vocals. "Hunger Strike" was more of a duet.

Everybody wins!
