I like to think my cynical nature protects me from crying at the least little thing. Then I see THIS and I can't turn the tears off. I just wish the man in the baseball hat could take the gorilla back to the city and they can live together in a penthouse apartment overlooking Central Park. Then the man in the baseball hat would order the gorilla to chew off Donald Trump's face. Now that is a beautiful story.

Yeah that all sound well and good but you know what would happen. Soon the gorilla would be sitting on the couch playing Halo with the rap music cranked up, wearin' baggy pants hanging around his knees, hangin' with the local gangstas. Then he gets an immigration claim, brings all his relatives over and they're all over the place, leaving banana peels on the streets and when you complain about it they go apeshit all over you and soon there's revolution and you will end up with a planet ruled by apes!
I'm just sayin'.
What is it with you and this 'Planet of the Apes' you always speak of? It's ridiculous. Next you will be telling me that they keep mute humans in cages and perform crude lobotamies on astronauts from the past. I am not buying it.
You just keep believing that, Cal. You just keep on living in that fantasy world of yours where you believe that an unknown virus from space won't wipe out all the dogs and cats and we won't be forced to take in apes as pets and eventually turn them into domestic servants and mistreating them until they start a revolution.
But next time you're in Calgary, go to the Gorilla house and look at them closely and you tell me that they're not up to something!
See, this is the problem I had with all the 'apes as pets' plot point. Why would you replace an easy to take care of cat with an difficult to take care of ape? Would Apes be hard to feed or would they develope some inexpensive ape chow? Plus those ones in the movie seemed to go nuts pretty quickly. I suspect that in that society a lot of pet on people crimes occur.
