A while ago I talked about including 'Namor, the Submariner' is the live action 'Captain America' movie since that movie is set in WWII and they fought together as part of the 'Invaders'. This article appeared today.
Daniel Dae Kim of ‘Lost’ fame has said that he would love to play Namor the Sub-Mariner. Splashpage.mtv reports:
“Living in Hawaii, I’m always in the water," explained Kim during an interview with UGO, "And I think Sub-Mariner looks Asian. So I feel like if there’s any one I could play, it would be him. I’ve met with Marvel about a few other things, but if and when it becomes appropriate — sure, if they’d have me.”
I think it is brilliant casting. He already has the experience and acting chops to pull it off. Remember when he was 'angry Jin' on the first couple seasons of Lost? That was moody Namor to a T. A couple months of bulking up and wings for his feet and we gots ourselves a movie.

That would be freakin' awesome - even if it's just a cameo to set him up for his own 'Namor' movie later on!

Flea - and I would totally see how the transition from Cap's movie to Namor's movie would go. After the war, Namor returns to his beloved Atlantis to find it in ruins and goes off his nut blaming the surface for the destruction because of their war.
Then he discovers that while protecting the Allied shipping lanes from the Nazi U-Boats, he himself may have unknowingly caused the destruction by being reckless.
This makes him more crazy and angry at the surface world. Only we know he is being manipulated by powerful enemies, both Atlantian and Human/Nazi
Here is where you add the fight between him and the original Human Torch, his old war buddy
You would make Attuma the main villain who does the old switcheroo at the end to side with Namor and Atlantis against the evil humans.
Then you have him lose his memory at the end and he is ready for the sequel which begins when Johnny Storm (the FF Human Torch) finds him and restores his memory and we are off again.

It's a brilliant idea, therefore Hollywood will never ever let it happen.
Brilliant, yes. But a Namor movie BEFORE an Aquaman movie? Bite your tongue, sir.
I know, I know, Wings. Just rooting for the underdog here because I believed Aquaman would be fine. After all they WERE creating an animated feature for him over at DC before THEY CANCELLED ALL THEIR ANIMATED FILMS!
How can those numnuts be so short sighted. It's the corporations that are killing the Aquaman movie.
Cal! Go to hollywood! Buy a suit, rent a BMW, get a fake rolex, walk into producer's offices and start pitching!
