Robyn, sometimes I don't know how you live with absolutely no knowledge or interest in popular culture. Then I find it adorable. Then I want to show you all the things you were good to have avoided wasting your time with the first time around but I would never do that to you. It would ruin the rare person that you are. You exist outside the Matrix and I need your wisdom that comes from that in my life.
Best decade ever. I am really embracing those time as I get older. Great, memorable, and goofy all at the same time. The last pure decade before the beginning of the Digital Revolution. I am glad I was born (1965) into a truly transformative period in human history.
Um, is it me or is Lando putting the pimp moves on She-Ra while drinking a 40 oz. of Colt 45? Leave it to the black dude to try and turn out the white girl.... lol!
Love the Devo guy on the steps, and Jem playing in the background reminds me of my sister. I also love the O.G. Tron cutting records like Daft Punk in Legacy.
My research has netted nothing. I hope your other readers figure it out or I will lose sleep.

"Ryan Dunlavey is a freelance artist based in New York City. He was educated in traditional "analog" illustration and animation techniques at Syracuse University and New York City's School of Visual Arts. He's also the co-creator and artist of the award-winning Action Philosophers comic book series."
His answer: "He's Kodiak from The Bearriors - a group of eco-themed animal warriors, it was an obscure Coleco toy line and short-lived cartoon that ran in syndication in early 1988, and was kind of a cross between Captain Planet and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."
You have done a man's work Ricky. I have no rememberances of that show. Must have only been show to bears in the deep woods. I would have remembered something called Berriors.
Cal, did you read the link Ricky put up? It explains that The Bearriors were a hoax from toyfare... and the artist was in on it!!! ThATS WHY You & I, plus everyone else, don't know who these fucks are....
I forever stand vigilant to protect this planet from the myriad of forces that are always against us. Be it the octopus, zombies, aliens or the robots my team of human agents, and our feline allies, circle the globe in a never ending struggle for human freedom.
I learn all I can on every subject that interests me. I especially enjoy ancient history because in the past there are valuable lessons to be found. Also, if I ever get my time machine to work properly, it would be good to know a bit about possible destinations and what to expect when I get there.
I greatly appreciate beautiful design. Be it manufactured or found naturally I am fascinated by the process of invention. I am attracted to the unique, the strange, the haunted. I like to share what I find on this blog.
And not let us forget the 'Cephalopod Menace' who, if allowed to, would wrap their tentacles around all that is good and pure in this life and crush it until it remained no more. They are creatures of pure spite. Hate is all they know. Death is all they do. They are our most ruthless and determined enemy.
So we fight. Selena has the celebrity contacts, the cat is ruthless and without pity, Roosevelt's ghost has the experience and I do the wetwork.
Fighting for the future of the planet doesn't have to be a chore, however. We can take the time to appreciate all that is cool in this world even as we cut the octopus into bite sized chunks.
This is the reason there has always been and must forever be, a Cave of Cool. Be sure to wipe your feet before you enter.

I knew you would get it.
I know a fraction of them, but I can name all the colors. Can I still be your peeps?

Kal? Are you in the Danger Zone?
Pearl
I am riding right into the Danger Zone, baby.

All from the 80's!

Somehow I don't have to look up that the green lion pilot is Pidge.
"Rock-y Ro-ad?"
Oh my god, I think I can name every reference. Wowzers. Wait - where's he? And Danger Mouse?
Sorry.
Jem is truly outrageous!
And totally not being a dick, but I think Budd means Bravestarr.

Great piece... do you know the artist?
I don't Mike. I just found it uncredited on Tumblr.
I got everyone but that bear like thing at the top of the stairs. Was is EWOKS or GUMMY BEARS?
And does any know the name of the little guy in the glass at the bottom of the picture. I want to say SNARKS or SNARFS but that doesn't feel correct.
Cal- the bear/badger is the ONLY one I can't get too. Guy in the glass is a snork.
YES, a SNORK!!! Now I have to know what the bear/badger thing is.
Can probably name them all!
You are the one person who BETTER be able to name them all. Any idea of that bear guy at the top left? He is the only one that is stumping me.
That's like getting a hug from a grandma holding a fifty.
No clue who that bear is. Guess he is friends with the space-cowboy dude next to him?
My research has netted nothing. I hope your other readers figure it out or I will lose sleep.

Always. There is even a membership patch.
Phew. I'm sure it has a cool logo, too. You'll just have to explain it to me, and I'll wear it with pride.

And we're not the first to freak out about the bear (Ryan's post about the bear no one knows...)

Where's the Tick?

Yes Mr. Mike D- I just grabbed a quote without clarifying the whole thing was a hoax. Thanks. Everyone- read the whole article :)
That is a dickhead move especially when directed at those of us who would know all the characters. Just to drive up crazy over the one we didn't.
But that means that NOW I do know everyone so that also means that I am awesome. If your face art boy.
I like it.
I think it was bravestar, was there a lonestar too? it has only been about 20 years. I should have googled it.
