cerebus660 is a great regular contributor to the comment section here at the Cave of Cool and his site is where I found these great Steranko covers.

For the time these were cutting edge in terms of their design. They still stand up and inspire today. Sternako understood like few before him that comics were a visual medium and that readers would be hungry for his style of innovative page design. His ability to combine picture elements with words is without peer. It's cinematic in it's presentation. It's a shame that more people aren't doing this kind of stuff these days.
