DC Universe Online

I am finding it really hard to avoid playing this game since seeing the mini-movies they have released. Everyone is so badass, hyped up and damaged. To see the last stand of Bruce Wayne in the Fortress of Solitude is pretty epic. I would love them to do a complete CGI movie based on this tale.

They really should do some CGI justice league movies. Heck why not somehow do a Alex Ross/CGI version of "Kingdom Come"? How cool would that be?

I would love to see 'Kingdom Come' but it would have to be done right. 'All Star Superman' looks great but it's not Frank Quietly's work so it will suffer from that oversite.

You could only do Kingdom Come either live or with Ross' full participation. I have a audio book of the story with full voicework and sound effects. Was very cool to listen to on long drives,.

I'm already on level 10, IT'S AWESOME!! if you like DC comics, and like action MMO type games this one might be for you, (lemmie know maybe we can go world's finest on some missions some time!) but flying past big belly burgers, and taking on Gorilla Grodd with the Flash on your side is awesome. And you can play as heroes or villains, and adventure across metropolis, and Gotham.

Who do you play as. How does it work. I am only an old school gamer so my learning curve would be steep.

My 2 characters, are Goran Nok (My attempt at a GL from another sector, and Marvelle Maid, who also is a bit of a mary marvel idea. but basically you create your own hero/villain, and customize it how you like. If you have played tomb raider, or Zelda for the N64 the movement in 3d isn't too much different other than the wide open spaces, DO make sure if you go PS3 to play on an HDTV otherwise you won't be able to read squat. there is quite a bit to keep track of but the game will also coach you especially early on by showing you important button combos. triangle is your ranged attack, square your hand to hand use the left stick to move and the right stick to look. powers are in a tray activated by hitting R1 or R2 and another button which you will see on the screen. It's all very hud driven. tell you what if you decide to play send me your character's name and server and I'll build someone there to show you the ropes :)
