Still love this show. It's goofy but fun. The world they have created is pure comic book fantasy. They are not ashamed of those roots and it shows. Great hero, great villain, great supporting cast - even the curse of Summer Glau can spoil this one for me. (Did I mention she wears skirts and boots in every episode?)

Love this show too!! But it looks as though the future is bleak for the show... NBC cut the episode count from 13 to 10 due to low ratings. Just stinks that a show that was willing to do what Heroes was afraid to do is probably going to be canned... Was talking to a co-worker a few weeks ago about how awesome it would have been had some of the Heroes characters suited up and ended up being vigilantes instead of just a group of people afraid of their own abilities... Don't get me wrong... Loved Heroes too, but I feel the Cape is doing something Heroes should have been doing since season 2... Which apparently wouldn't have been popular...
I wish they could have given it more of a chance to find it's audience. It's the perfect show for a father to watch with kids or for big kids like me. The show moves fast, has a great villian and how can you not love Rolo, Max and the rest of the Circus of Crime. And now we are getting some great background story stuff - "there are no accidents" I like how complicated the CAPE has it. He has to overlook crime right under his nose and save the life of his archnemesis for the good of all. Mena Savari as DICE? Fabulous female supervillain. See, I can love this show every day of the week. I will be choked to see it go.
Only thing that I think would have possibly saved a few viewers, would have been a different romantic interest for Vince than his wife.... Not to say that she's a terrible actress or a bad character, but usually these shows have something go on between the field agent and the computer assistant in same shape or form... I haven't watched the latest episode yet (since I prefer to watch 2 episodes at a time) so I'm not sure if that changed or not... But I would think that more female viewers would have been interested had Vince and Orwell had a thing going on... Maybe had the wife been killed and the son put into foster care or something along those lines... One can only speculate...
You are so right. Have the wife and kid's place be blown up by Chess. Vince can only save the kid who he sends to a foster home with a new name and identity (courtesy of Orwell). Problem solved.

Like I said... I don't mind the wife, but I see where an Orwell romance would have served a good purpose on the show, and even given Vince not only a greater anger w/ Chess (for killing his wife) but also the whole turmoil of being in love w/ the daughter of his enemy... Or perhaps I wasn't supposed to pick up on that yet... ;^) I definitely would want them to keep the son in the show, though, as I feel the visits w/ his son are nice to see at the end of each episode... I feel as though I am not re-writing the show, just thinking of what they could do to get more viewers for a 2nd season... Unlike what Human Target did w/ adding in an attractive girl and an annoying nag of a woman named Poochie... Err.. Pucci... Sorry!!
