Guy In Norway Buys Six Tons Of Fertilizer Before Bombing

Oh yeh. Someone 'screwed the pooch' on this one. That is a lot of fertilizer for ONE GUY! I could let anything less than three tons go but after that someone has to get a permit from someone where they have to first show ID. You would think that SIX TONS worth of explosive bought at one time would sent up SOME kind of red flag. Seems to be a basic precaution. This just gets more and more insane with each day's revelations. GAH!

It says in the article that the guy had a company growing carrots and other types of vegetables. I guess he bought it through his company?

So sad. It used to be that you'd hear about shootings by some crazy nut, in the US every other year. Now there's death everywhere. I'm so sick of terrorism.

It's just another piece of crap we didn't need right now. What next. First I find myself hating the Harry Potter movie and now Murdoch and this story. UGH.

This amount of fertilizer isn't actually that unusual a quantum to buy for a relatively small farm. And as pointed out he had a company and a farm where fertilizer would have been required. He could have shown all the ID in the world, and there still wouldn't have been much reason to suspect him.

I'm sure there will be "should have's" and "could have's" coming up in the next few days and weeks. For now, though, the priority lies with rescuing the injured, burying the dead, taking care of anyone affected, and making sure that this guy doesn't win by making us give up our way of life. He shall not be given that satisfaction.

You are very close to this whole story so I defer to your judgement.. I hurt that this guy didn't do us a favor and take himself out.
