RIP: Cliff Robertson, veteran actor and Academy Award winner, passed away yesterday of natural causes, one day after turning 88.
Another old school Hollywood guy who just elevated any project he was attached too. Classy and dependable. One of my favorites. I especially like watching when he played Presidents - he projected such an air of believability and confidence that you always wished he was the actual Commander-in-Chief.
Of course, he lives forever for his role as 'Uncle Ben' from the Sam Raimi 'Spider-Man'. He really got to the heart of what made that character great.

Getting old is not for sissies. All the great actors I grew up with are disapearing. It sucks.
He did a lot of good stuff. The Naked and the Dead, Twilight Zone, Outer Limits and lots of other great movies. RIP.
