The Guardians Of The Galaxy And Thanos

Yesterday the 'Gaurdians of the Galaxy' were introduced into the animated Avengers Universe through the classic 'Michael Korvac' story. It was a good choice of threat to introduce the cosmic end of Marvel Comics to the TV series. I understand there is much interest in a 'Gaurdians' movie to tie in with the sequel to the 'Avengers'.

Thanos is expected to be the villain in the 'Avengers' sequel so the connections to the Gaurdians make sense. Thanos has been the main villain in that part of the Marvel Universe.  If you want to up the threat level you can't do better than Thanos, a immensely powerful and insane alien who worships Death, and his Infinity Gauntlet - a space gem powered super glove that allows it's wearer to alter reality (among other things). I would love to have my own replica gauntlet but like me it would have to light up while I am wearing it.

Thanks for the heads up! Been really into Thanos, Adam Warlock, the Infinity stuff in the past year, and Guardians more recently- VERY cool!

All that Thanos related stuff is pretty great when you read his entire story arc.

Thanos is my favorite comicbook villain of all time;the movies better do him justice.

I loved the recent Gaurdians comics where they were forced to work with Thanos as they are oft forced to do. Thanos is such a great Megatron-level asshole. I so hope they give him the right kind of crazy unpredictable edge. Andy Serkis can do the motion capture but you need a truly great voice to pull off his complicated emotions.

I've been looking at this now too.. LONG TIME Thanos fan from the 70s Starlin Mar-vell era, now excited to see him for the next Avengers movie.

Just picked up the gorgeous Hawkeye Select figure. Awesome Line.

The Select line is really terrific. The figures have substance to them. I can't believe how heavy the THING figure is.
