Space Punisher 1-4 By Mark Texeira

It's goofy as hell but I am enjoying the first two issues. The higher the concept means the more 'full retard' you have to go on the execution. This series is proof positive of that mantra. I enjoy the not so subtle changes they made to the Marve Universe we all know in order to tell their story.

There are basically 3 types of Punisher stories you can tell. All involve a really angry guy with access to gun who kills anyone who he thinks is guilty of a crime. At their logical conclusion these stories all involve him killing increasingly powerful beings until the Punisher takes his revenge on who he REALLY is angry with - GOD.

Frank Castle blames GOD for the death of his family and his vengeance will not be satisfied until he takes out the CREATOR himself. I would like to see this story end with Castle getting his life and family back. Certainly beings with cosmic powers would be capable of giving him the illusion of the life he used to know - something to save themselves and ease his pain. If they can't do that then they all deserve to die.

Go Frank Go! Kill 'em all!

Like Regular Punisher, but in Space!

Is it just me for does Frank look at lot like Bruce Willis?

Maybe Texiera is hoping to sell the property in the Hollywood.

I've always had this crazy idea for a Punisher movie that has Frank Castle going around hunting super-powered criminals..and actually KILLING them!

I know, there are probably lots of comics where Punisher actually gets to shoot supervillains, but I'd LOVE to see a movie where people with special abilities get gunned downed by some CIA-trained lunatic. I mean, I don't think anyone's ever done THAT before on the big screen, have they?

Have you read the mini-series - The Punisher Kills The Marvel Universe? That's basically what he does. It's also a goofy gem of an idea.

Really? Sounds cool, I'll have to check that out, thanks.

Hey, who knows? Maybe the next time they shoot a Punisher movie (probably for the MCU), it will have some of these goofy elements in it. One can always dream =)
