Classic Design

The world’s first television remote control. The wireless “Flash-Matic” was invented by Zenith engineer Eugene Polley in 1955.

A gun shaped TV remote? How did this design not endure?

Zenith made some great stuff. My Dad has an old school radio they made propped up in the living room.

Those were the good old days. When you lost the remote you didn't spend fruitless hours digging through the couch, you just found out where the kids were playing Buck Rogers and wrested it out of their grubby little hands.

And their hands were grubbier back then. And they only had DDT and industrial solvent to clean and kill germs back then. Listerine to gargle with.
