Nurse Jackie
It's sure not easy to like Eddie Falco's Jackie but I think that's the whole point. I am a big believer is redemption and second chances and Falco is terrific. She also leads a cast of some of the best character actors in the business. This is today's version of MASH with all the same unexpected moments and gut busting humor.
My favorite character is Nurse Zoey. She is the Radar/Klinger of this little E.R. Merritt Wever is spectacular and is often the comedy to break the tension. Her comic timing is brilliant.
Doctor Cooper played by Peter Facinelli is playing the opposite of the characters that were his destiny. He is the quintessential frat guy who bullies the nerd. But here he is the nerd with two mothers and all kinds of quirks and insecurities.

You know me and my mad love for cartoons. Lately I've been on a kick watching the old "Jonny Quest" episodes from the 60s and it really plays to my retro-philia with this "radio show with moving comic strip" feel.
Cartoon Network recently launched their comedic comic show "Teen Titans Go!" which has some good jokes, but the lack of action doesn't make it as enduring as any of the previous DC cartoons. This is one I'd probably only watch peripherally.
By contrast, Nickelodeon's new "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" series started out good, and has only gotten better. The recent string of episodes dealing with the Turtles shaky alliance with Karai has me on the edge of my seat. Problem is that new episodes haven't been coming out weekly. Its the same problem I've had with "Gravity Falls" or "Scooby Doo: Mystery Inc", if you're going to have a cartoon with on ongoing mystery storyline, there needs to be some consistency in when the episodes air or else lose the momentum!
For me I have 3 shows, The first is Bates Motel, I have been rather enjoying this modernized re telling of the origins of Norman Bates Kind of like a dark and twisted version of Smallville, with a more freaky endgame, plus I am shocked at freddie Highmore's performance as a teenage Norman, (He was Charlie from the tim burton charlie and the chocolate factory).
Then We have Archer, this pop culture laden anti hero spy with a selfish streak a mmile long is a riot, I love way the connected it to Bob's burgers, for an eipsode and the sealab bit, noot to mention the slew of pop culture references.
but My favorite is the Venture Bros, like Eric's interest in old Jhonny quest this is more or less his post modern parody. son of a super scientist who was exacly like Johnny, now in the throws of a midlife crisis, and with two unruly boys, who reak of the pie eyed optimism of the early JQ toons, and goofy villains all still gunning for him He is morally bankrupt, and socially awkward, and yet likeable at the same time.
I am going to do a complete Venture Brothers. I haven't seen enough of that show.
I am always afraid that I will find that I am too hip or not hip enough for ARCHER.
Teen Titans Go is something for kids with ADHD. I am waiting to watch a whole season of tmnt at the same time like I did with Transformers Prime. Love that Megatron.
We really enjoyed Vikings. Now we're watching Homeland (Season 1) -- even though it's in reruns, it's new to us. Oh, and the latest season of Mad Men but so far I must say, "I am disappoint."
I knew Mad Men wouldn't pay off. Vikings is over now and it was sad to see what happened to some of my favorites. Homeland is worth the first two seasons. Claire Daines is fantastic as is Damien Lewis.
Oh we love that show, and Zoey is our favorite, too!
