New To The Collection Of Cool

First I have to thank my pal Danielle for turning me onto this figure when she got the opportunity to play with a bunch of Barbies at her temp job. When she saw this Mountie Barbie, she immediately thought of me. I had no idea she even knew I collected action figures or ever looked at my blog. I guess she does.

 

Any good collector knows the feeling of seeing a figure you JUST have to have. I looked at the usual places and managed to find a seller on EBay who gave me an offer I couldn't refuse. Free shipping and less than 25 dollars for the doll. They claim there is damage to the box but it's so small to make the box basically perfect. That makes the acquisition twice as sweet.

I looked at the number of Superhero Barbies that I have and all the female action figures I have gathered along the way and it makes me feel good that I never worried about the distinction between DOLL and ACTION FIGURE. They are all the same to me if they are done well and are a good representation of the character they are trying to be.

Teddy seems pretty impressed also. I told him he had a gift coming but it really turned out better for both of us than I ever could have thought. This one means a lot to me. If you are a collector, you know the feeling of what I speak.
